Pre-Meeting Tour in Jerusalem

Participants that are interested to take part in the pre-meeting tour in Jerusalem on September 9th should independently arrive to our meeting point in Jerusalem at the Prima Royale Hotel after landing at Ben Gurion Airport. 

A convenient and affordable transportation from Ben Gurion airport to the hotel in Jerusalem is available via Nesher tours (http://www.neshertours.co.il). 

 

Arriving Directly to Eilat

Participants wishing to arrive directly to Eilat from Ben Gurion Airport on September 10th can use the registration form to reserve a domestic flight from Tel Aviv to Eilat. 

  • 9th September, 2016 (Friday): Meet at the Prima Royale Hotel in Jerusalem for a pre-meeting guided tour in the city, leaving from the hotel at 10:00.

 

  • 10th September, 2016 (Saturday) Hilton Eilat:  Transfer from Jerusalem to Eilat with our special bus (see photo above...). We will make a short stop at the Dead Sea area for sightseeing. Meet at the Hilton Queen of Sheba Hotel at 18:00 for registration, pick up of material, and welcome cocktail event.  

 

  • 11th September, 2016 (Sunday) conference hall, Hilton, Eilat: Lectures and posters, starting at 9:00.  

 

  • 12th September, 2016 (Monday) conference hall, Hilton, Eilat: Lectures and posters starting at 9:00.

 

  • 13th September, 2016 (Tuesday) IUI, Eilat: Leaving from the hotel at 9:00 to the Inter University Institute (http://www.iui-eilat.ac.il). Collect foraminifera by boat, snorkeling, and scuba diving. Workshops (1-4) will be operated after sampling at the teaching laboratories in IUI. 16:00- visit at the nearby Marine Observatory Center.

 

  • 14th September, 2016 (Wednesday) IUI, Eilat: Transfer from Hilton to IUI at 9:00. Collecting additional material and Workshops (5-7). 19:00- Special WS dinner on the beach.   

 

  • 15th September, 2016 (Thursday): Short Fieldtrip in Eilat. Transfer to hotels in Tel Aviv with our bus. We will make a short stop at the Makhtesh (crater) Ramon.

 

  • 16th September, 2016 (Friday), Tel Aviv-Jaffa: 9:00- visit at the shallow beach rock environment and collecting foraminifera. Free afternoon.

 

* Light lunch will be provided during the workshop.
